Finally, here is what the Ogres look like after their dip, and before getting a matte spray and finishing up their bases:
Of course they’re still shiny without their matte spray, and I’m quite anxious to see how they look after it’s been done.
Otherwise, I do think they look great. I know some of the raised areas of their skin have some of the Quickshade on them, so more shaded than highlighted as they should be, but I’m cool with it.
I’m very happy with colours I chose, now that I see them post-dip. The skin went from very pale to just right, in my opinion. While I still prefer the look of (GW) Ogryn Flesh, I could not afford the amount that these big bodies would require.
Taking these pictures earlier today has inspired me to dip the Leadbelchers tonight. I’ve been working on the Ironguts a little slowly the last few nights, so maybe tonight I can also get a few more colours down on them. And hopefully Andrew will bring over that can of matte spray so I can get the last couple of stages done on these Ogres and get them complete.
Well, look for more coming up.
Thanks for reading.
