I find it fitting and funny that the day after I post about my own ‘stache, I see that out-of-the-box Movember participation pays off. As you can see in Lost Hemisphere’s Paint the Target post for November/December, the Bloody Bradigan I painted at the beginning of last month has won me some accolades…and a poster!
Here he is again, in case you missed him:
I’d like to thank Boots and Lost Hemisphere, not only for choosing (randomly or otherwise) my submission, but also for being one of the reasons I’m getting back into Warmachine. Even at the height of my Warhammer Fantasy days last year, I was yearning to get back to WarmaHordes which I had enjoyed so much just years before, but had been sadly dropped. In fact, for many months I had wanted to submit something for the Paint the Target monthly challenge, but never did. I guess the stars aligned, along with Movember and me going through old models, and voila, Bloody Bradigan gets painted, I submit it, and Andrew and I are back into the game.
What’s more, the December challenge fits right in with our plans, as I will be painting up the Khador starter box which includes two models that qualify for the Element-themed challenge this month.
Anyway, I just thought I would share my little victory. It’s one small step in the right direction of being proud of my work, and therefore more likely to keep at it.
Thanks for reading.
