Here are a couple of shots I took of demos I did for Malifaux all the way back in December of 2009, at the quarterly gaming gathering of TABSCon here in Toronto (a la TABS). I turned them into promotional-like images I believe using Comic Life, but I don’t exactly remember.
Now that I have more and better painted figures, plus well-painted models from my friends that I can use, I should take some more staged photos like this and make some more ‘promotional’ work.
Anyway, these were taken back when I was actively demoing the game as a Henchman, when it was still a pretty new game. You can see a Zuzzy mat, some Pegasus accessories, Heroscape pine trees and some buildings by I-forget-which-company that belong to my friend. They are awesome buildings, and I wish I had picked up a set myself.
The demos were successful, I believe. People enjoyed the game, and I learned a bit about running demos. Now that I’m getting back into demoing in the near future (Dark Age, Urban War), I’ll be thinking about the dos and don’ts of demoing.
Thanks for reading.
